Fun fact: I got the name for this series from my favorite Lil’ Kim song, Big Momma Thang. It has absolutely nothing to do with weight loss, but that’s my jam. Do NOT look up that song if you don’t listen to explicit music. But if you do: 1) don’t judge me, and 2) you’re welcome. 😉

Anywho!

Guys…today I did a thing!

I don’t know if y’all remember, but I previously talked about finding a personal trainer here in Michigan that I was interested in signing up with. Well, today I did just that.

I met with her and signed my contract, so it’s official! I’m proud of myself for taking this step because I know I need the accountability to stay consistent.

Mt first session is tomorrow, and I’m nervous. It honestly feels like the first day of school.

Honestly, I haven’t worked out since we moved. Since we’re on the second floor, I’ve been hesitant to do my usual workouts because I don’t want to disturb the neighbors. That’s where my trainer comes in. I have several things I want to work on, and I’m excited to finally get started.

I was anxious the entire drive there and even while we were discussing my goals. I’ve never been a fan of gyms. The idea of having an audience while I work out has always felt intimidating. But the most important part is that I showed up.

And sometimes, showing up is the hardest part.

Are you someone who loves the gym, or do you have to talk yourself into going every single time? I’d love to know I’m not the only one.

xoxo,

Alexis
